Upon arrival at Medan -Kualanamu International Airport , you will be picked up by our local representative , direct transfer to your hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Tangkahan via Binjai and Tanjung Pura, on the way visit several villages where you can see the daily activities of local people, arrival at Tangkahan (a part of Leuser National Park) check in to a simple Guest House. In the afternoon you could stroll the area.
After breakfast, continue our amazing tour through Sumatra walking to the elephant station and then join the Mahout during washing the Elephant. Afterwards enjoy tubing through the river and stop will be made at Fantastic Buluh Waterfall where you can have some natural shower, sunbathing or swim in the plunge pool. Picnic lunch will be served on the shore of the river. In the afternoon, arrive at the village. Get in touch with the local people, see their daily activities and then return to guest house by walking. Free time! You can take a rest or visit some hot springs and waterfalls near the guest house on your own.
After breakfast, drive to Bukit Lawang by Jeep. On the way, stop at several plantations for rubber and cocoa. Arrival at Bukit Lawang, check in to hotel and then the afternoon is free at your own leisure.
After breakfast, continue our adventure tour through Sumatra walking into the jungle to start trekking to explore the nature of Leuser National Park with their abundant flora and fauna, there will be a possibility to see the Orangutans on their own habitat and other kind of animal such as Thomas leaf monkeys, long tail macaque, gibbon, black gibbon and other kind of flora and fauna of this tropical rain forest. This trekking will take about 3 hours, and afterwards return to hotel. In the afternoon you could make a stroll through the village.
Today leave for Brastagi , enroute visit Sembahe River and Sibolangit ( passing through the dense forest ) .Upon arrival Brastagi you will visit Lhumbini Natural Park with its duplicate of Shwedagon pagoda in Myanmar, visit local fruit market, and Gundaling Hill where you able to see two volcanoes peaks (Mount Sinabung and Mount Sibayak)
Today drive to Parapat – is a small town on the edge of Lake Toba , enroute visit Batak Karo traditional village at Dokan, stop at Sipiso-piso waterfall, Rumah Bolon (Long house) is a northern Sumatra traditional house. Upon arrival at Parapat, cross to Samosir Island by ferry boat to get to the hotel. Afternoon free.
After breakfast excursion on Samosir Island by car, visiting several Batak Toba traditional villages such as :
Along on this trip, it is also possible to stop at school to see the activities of young children in the school, visiting the village where the people make traditional hand weaving. Also stop at some scenic places! In the afternoon, back to hotel.
After breakfast crossing back to Parapat and continue drive to Sipirok – enroute visit pineapples, clove, and coffee plantation, traditional market at Balige Sigur-gur and Sipoholon Hot Springs. Before arriving at Sipirok , we can enjoy nature walking on the banks of the Sarulla river , surrounded by rice terrace and seeing the village working and cultivating. Today we leave Sipirok and continue the trip towards Bukittinggi. It’s the core of Minangkabau culture, located on top of a hill. During the trip we will pass through the rainforests of Rimba Panti, and we will make a stop to see how the monkeys have fun picking up coconuts. We will visit the peppers, vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom plantations. You will cross the equator line in Bonjol from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere. Afternoon arrive at Bukittinggi and directly check in at the hotel.
Today we will go to Minangkabau. Before arriving at our destination, we will pass Batu Sangkar and Tabek Patah. Along the way, we will also stop in Rao-Rao to visit a traditional village in Minangkabau where we will see how coffee is traditionally ground.
Arriving at Batu Sangkar, we continue to Pagaruyung to visit the duplicate of the Minangkabau Kingdom Palace and Museum. In the afternoon we return to Bukittinggi by Padang Panjang and visit Pandai Sikat village to see traditional Minangkabau hand weaving and wood carving. We return to the hotel in the afternoon.
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Kersik Tuo via Muara Labuh. On the way passing Lake Singkarak and Twin Lake ( Lake Diatas and Lake Dibawah ), we will also make a stop at Minangkabau Village , Lettern waterfall. In the afternoon we will arrive at Kersik Tuo, the Kerinci Seblat National Park area, check-in at simple homestay
After breakfast, by bus, we will go to Gunung Tujuh Lake in Kerinci Seblat National Park. The lake is huge, mysterious, located 1,995 meters above sea level and surrounded by primary forest and hills. Lunch will be served by the lake. The area is surrounded by the pristine lake known as the Sumatran tiger habitat, Sumatran elephants, primates, Sumatran endemic birds, as well as a research area for the “little man” living in the jungle around the lake. Most of the day, we spend trekking exploring the surroundings of the park in search of animals, birds and exotic plants. We return to the hotel to rest and spend the night.
Today enjoy the atmosphere around the Kerinci Seblat National Park area. Walking in the Kayu Aro tea plantation, exploring the river, having contact with local villagers.
After breakfast, we will visit the hot springs of Semerup, the old historic Mosque with its giant drum and Lake Kerinci. By car, we will drive to Bukittinggi via Painan. Stop at the Bungus beach. Upon arrival in Padang, check in to hotel.
End of programme. Today transfer to Minangkabau International Airport for your next destination.
